GeoStru PLT is a professional application for the processing and interpretation of double-cycle circular plate load tests, carried out in situ for the mechanical characterization of soils.
The application follows the procedures prescribed by national technical standards (CNR B.U. A. XXVI No. 146/1992 and NTC) and is applicable to subgrade soils, embankments, foundation layers, and pavement base layers.
Based on experimental load–settlement data, the application allows the input of loading/unloading cycles, plate diameter, pressure increments, and stabilized settlement readings.
The software automatically generates pressure–settlement diagrams, distinguishing between the first and second loading cycles.
According to the normative pressure intervals, the application calculates the deformation modulus Md for the first cycle and the modulus M’d for the second cycle, in accordance with the relationships defined for the rigid circular plate load test.
The Md / M’d ratio is also determined and used as a qualitative indicator of soil compaction quality.
The application also enables the determination of the Winkler modulus (k), derived from the slope of the initial portion of the pressure–settlement curve, making the result directly usable in geotechnical and structural verifications
