Application for the calculation of: water depth developing with the meteorological event, thickness of the potentially erodible layer, rainfall intensity for the development of debris flow.
The water depth that forms as a result of runoff can be estimated by the following relationship, due to Ikeya (1989):
h0=(f/(8gsenθ)(1/3)·(Q0/B)(2/3)
Where:
g = acceleration of gravity [m/s2]
f = Darcy-Weisbach coefficient [-]
θ = slope of the feeding area [°].
To calculate the rainfall intensity that meets the requirements for the development of debris flow, the application uses:
Ipc=(3.6/S)·((8gsenθ/f)(1/2)·{C*(σ/ρ-1)[(tanϕ/tanθ-1)-1]}(3/2)·d50(3/2)·B
